- Attendance policyShouldThe school's attendance policy: expectations, how to report absence, the Senior Attendance Champion and who to contact, how absence is followed up and when penalty notices are used. - Board agendas and minutesMustAgendas, approved minutes and papers for meetings of the trustees, committees and local governing bodies. The academy trust must publish them on its website or make them available on request.No fixed date
- Careers programme informationMustCareers programme information: the careers leader's name and contact details, a programme summary, how to access it, how impact is measured and the review date. - CCTV policyMustA policy on how the school runs its CCTV: who is responsible and who can view or disclose footage. Schools that use CCTV must have one, plus an appropriate policy document where it is used to prevent crime or footage goes to the police.No fixed date
- Charging and remissions policyMustThe school's policy on charges: which activities it charges for, when charges are waived or reduced, and free board and lodging on residential trips for pupils who qualify. Every school must publish it.No fixed date
- Charity status statementExpectedA statement that the academy trust is an exempt charity, regulated by the DfE rather than the Charity Commission. This is expected, not required, and the registered charity statement does not apply to academy trusts.No fixed date
- Child protection policyShouldThe school's child protection and safeguarding policy, covering child-on-child abuse, how children can report abuse, low-level concerns and arrangements for visitors. It should be on the website and reviewed every year, normally in line with the September edition of Keeping Children Safe in Education.Every 12 months · 1 September, the start of the academic year
- Climate action planGood practiceA named sustainability lead and a climate action plan covering curriculum, procurement, adaptation and decarbonisation. The government's education strategy encourages every school to have both, but there is no legal duty to publish them.No fixed date
- Company name and numberMustThe academy trust's registered company name and company number, shown on the school's website. Every academy's website and the trust's own website must show them, and the trust's site must also give its registered office and place of registration.No fixed date
- Complaints procedureMustThe school's own complaints procedure: that it covers all complaints, that anyone can complain, not just parents, and how complaints about SEN support are handled. Every school must publish it, and the academy trust must publish its own policy.No fixed date
- Contact detailsMustThe school's name, postal address and telephone number, the member of staff who handles queries, the headteacher and the SENCO. Maintained schools must publish most of these and academies should, but every mainstream school must name its SENCO.No fixed date
- Cookie consentMustA cookie banner or similar tool that asks visitors before any non-essential cookies, such as analytics or embedded videos, are set. Every school and trust website that uses such cookies must ask first, by a clear positive action.No fixed date
- Cookie policyMustA cookie policy that tells visitors the website sets cookies, lists each one and explains what it does and why. Every school and trust website must give this information clearly.No fixed date
- Curriculum informationMustWhat is taught in each subject in each year group, not just a general description of the school's approach. Every school must publish it. Maintained schools must also name their phonics and reading schemes and key stage 4 courses, and academies should.No fixed date
- Data protection policyMustThe data protection policy, published with the date it was last reviewed. Schools and academy trusts must have data protection policies and procedures in place and publish the policy with a review date.No fixed date
- Designated safeguarding leadShouldThe name and contact details of the designated safeguarding lead, the senior member of staff responsible for child protection, with any deputies and the cover arrangements when the lead is unavailable. Schools should publish these.No fixed date
- DMARC email recordShouldA DMARC record on every email domain the school or trust holds, which helps stop criminals sending emails that appear to come from it. It should move to a policy of reject, and nothing on the website is involved.No fixed date
- Early years information for parentsMustInformation for parents on how the EYFS is delivered, how to find out more and how to contact Ofsted. Schools with nursery or reception classes must share it, and should also list staff with a current paediatric first aid certificate.No fixed date
- Equality information and objectivesMustInformation showing how the school meets the public sector equality duty, published at least once a year, and specific, measurable equality objectives published at least every four years. Every school must publish both.Every 12 months

- Exam information for candidatesMustInformation for exam candidates on access to scripts, re-checks, reviews of marking and appeals, the internal appeals procedure, access arrangements and the JCQ candidate documents. - Exam internal appeals procedureShouldA written internal appeals procedure for when a candidate disagrees with the exam centre's decision not to support a re-check, review or appeal. - Financial benchmarking linkMustA link to the school's own page on the GOV.UK schools financial benchmarking service. Council-maintained schools must publish it. It does not apply to academies.No fixed date
- Footer and about page detailsMustThe standard text in the website footer and about pages: the trust's name, the number of schools and any Ofsted grade logos. The text should match GIAS, and it must be clear which school a grade logo refers to.No fixed date
- Freedom of information publication schemeMustA freedom of information publication scheme, normally the ICO model scheme, listing the classes of information published, how each is published and whether it is free or charged for. Every school and trust must publish one as a public authority.No fixed date
- Funding agreementMustThe academy's funding agreement, the contract with the government under which it runs, with any supplemental funding agreement. Academies and academy trusts must publish it, and an academy may link to the copy on the trust's site.No fixed date
- Fundraising information for donorsMustFundraising information wherever the school or its PTA asks the public for donations: which charity benefits and how to complain about fundraising. Any charitable institution that fundraises from the public must provide this, including PTAs and trusts.No fixed date
- Gender pay gap reportMustA yearly report of the mean and median gender pay and bonus gaps, and the share of men and women paid a bonus and in each pay quartile. Trusts with 250 or more employees must publish it on the trust's website by 30 March.Every year · 30 March each year

- In-year admissions informationMustHow parents can apply for a school place part-way through the year, how applications are handled, when they will hear and their right to appeal. - Key stage 2 resultsMustThe most recent key stage 2 results, as published in the performance tables: expected and higher standard in reading, writing and maths, average progress and average scaled scores. - Local authority admissions linkMustA link to the local authority's admission arrangements, and to its in-year co-ordination scheme where the council manages those applications, stating the admission year it covers. - Marketing claims and reviewsMustAnything on the website that markets the school, such as claims about results or facilities, must be clearly identifiable as marketing, and any reviews shown must not leave out negative ones. This duty applies to any advertiser, including schools that market places or services.No fixed date
- Medical conditions policyShouldA policy for supporting pupils with medical conditions such as asthma or diabetes, covering roles, individual healthcare plans, medicines, staff training, trips and sport, and complaints. Governing bodies should make sure it is readily accessible to parents.No fixed date
- Memorandum and articles of associationMustThe trust's articles of association, which set out its purpose and how it is governed, together with its memorandum of association. The academy trust must publish both on its website.No fixed date
- Mobile phone policyShouldThe school's policy on prohibiting mobile phones during the school day, how it is implemented and any sanctions, any sixth form arrangements, and that phones may be searched for. Schools should publish it.No fixed date
- Modern slavery statementMustA yearly slavery and human trafficking statement, approved by the board, signed by a director and linked prominently from the homepage, which organisations with a turnover of £36 million or more must publish. - Music development plan summaryShouldA summary of the school's music development plan, in the DfE template, updated before the start of each academic year. All schools and academies are expected to publish it.Every academic year · 1 September, the start of the academic year
- Named person for SEN oversightShouldThe name of the person with oversight of SEN provision, who makes sure support is co-ordinated. 16 to 19 academies should publish it. It does not apply to other schools.No fixed date
- Ofsted logos and gradesMustAny Ofsted logo or grade on the website must be used only as Ofsted allows: no withdrawn single-word grade logos, no misleading grade claims, and clear which school a grade relates to. Single-word grades were withdrawn for inspections from September 2024.No fixed date
- Ofsted Parent View linkGood practiceA link to Ofsted Parent View, the survey where parents give their views on the school, or its logo or poster. Showing it on the website is encouraged.No fixed date
- Ofsted reportMustA copy of the school's most recent Ofsted report, or a link to it on the Ofsted website. Maintained schools must publish it; academies should.No fixed date
- Online safety information for parentsShouldOnline safety information for parents, including what systems filter and monitor online use and the senior leader and governor responsible for filtering and monitoring. Schools should provide it.No fixed date
- Paper copies statementMustA statement that parents can ask for a free paper copy of anything published on the website, and that translations, Braille or audio versions are free too. Maintained schools must publish it.No fixed date
- PE and sport premium reportMustA report on PE and sport premium funding: the amount received, how it is spent, its impact and sustainability, and year 6 swimming attainment. - Performance tables linkMustA link to the DfE compare school and college performance service and to the school's own performance measures page on it. Maintained schools must publish it and academies should.No fixed date
- Pre-contract and cancellation informationMustPrices including VAT, cancellation rights and a cancellation form, shown before a buyer commits to an online purchase. It is a duty on any organisation that sells to consumers online, and is only checked for a school when an online shop is found.No fixed date
- Privacy information for childrenMustPrivacy information a child can understand, explaining what a school-run app or portal does with children's data. Any organisation that runs an online service children are likely to use must provide it, and a public information website alone does not count.No fixed date
- Privacy noticeMustA privacy notice telling pupils, parents and staff what personal data the school holds, why it is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and what their rights are. Schools and academy trusts must publish one.No fixed date
- Provider access policy statementMustA policy statement setting out how providers of technical education and apprenticeships can get access to pupils in years 8 to 13. Schools with pupils in those year groups must publish it.No fixed date
- Pupil photo and video policyGood practiceA statement explaining how the school uses photos and videos of pupils: the lawful basis it relies on, how to opt out when a photo is taken or later, and who can access images. Publishing it is encouraged.No fixed date

- Relationships and sex education policyMustThe school's policy on relationships education in primary schools, or relationships and sex education in secondary schools. - School opening hoursShouldThe start and end times of the compulsory school day and the total time this amounts to in a typical week, including breaks but not after-school activities. Maintained schools and academies should both publish them.No fixed date
- School uniform policyShouldThe school's uniform policy, saying which items are required or optional, which need the school logo, where they can be bought and where second-hand uniform is available. Schools should publish it on their website.No fixed date
- Section 48 inspection reportExpectedA link to the latest section 48 inspection report, the separate inspection of a school's religious character, such as SIAMS for Church of England schools. It is expected for schools with a religious character.No fixed date
- Secure website connectionShouldA website served securely over HTTPS, so every address starts https and the browser shows a padlock. School and trust websites should be served this way.No fixed date
- SEN information reportMustA report on how the school supports pupils with special educational needs: the kinds of SEN provided for, how needs are identified, the SENCO's contact details and where the local offer is published. Schools must publish it and update it every year.Every 12 months
- Senior mental health leadGood practiceThe name of the senior member of staff who leads on pupils' mental health, known as the designated senior lead for mental health. Publishing this is encouraged.No fixed date
- Service provider detailsMustDetails every organisation offering services online must show: its name, legal status, geographic address, email address, and any registration and VAT numbers. Schools and trusts need them where they run an online service such as a shop or lettings booking.No fixed date
- SPF email recordGood practiceAn SPF record on the school's or trust's email domain, listing every service allowed to send email on its behalf. It is encouraged as a basic protection against spoofed emails, and nothing on the website is involved.No fixed date
- Staff code of conductShouldThe staff behaviour policy, sometimes called the code of conduct, covering low-level concerns, allegations and whistleblowing, acceptable use of technology, and staff and pupil relationships including social media. Schools should publish it.No fixed date
- Staff paid £100,000 or moreMustThe number of employees paid £100,000 or more, shown in £10,000 bands and including off-payroll arrangements over that amount. - Statement of behaviour principlesMustThe governing body's written statement of the principles behind the school's behaviour policy. It applies to maintained schools, and the headteacher must act in line with it.No fixed date

- Website accessibilityMustA website that disabled people can use. As public sector websites, school and trust sites must be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, and should meet the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.No fixed date
- Whistleblowing policyMustThe procedure for raising concerns about wrongdoing, and how staff who report it are protected. Academy trusts must publish it on the trust's website, and whistleblowing should also be covered in the staff code of conduct.No fixed date
- Wraparound care registrationMustA statement that the school's breakfast or after-school clubs are registered with Ofsted as childcare providers. Most providers caring for children under 8 for more than two hours a day in England must register.No fixed date
