PE and sport premium report: what to publish on your school website
If your school receives the PE and sport premium, your website needs a yearly report on how much you received, how you spent it, the difference it made and year 6 swimming results.

Publish the PE and sport premium report on the statutory information page on your website by 31 July each year, showing the amount received, how it was spent, its impact and sustainability, and year 6 swimming attainment.

What academies must publish online
Academies that receive PE and sport premium funding must publish, by 31 July each year: – the amount of premium funding received – a full breakdown of how it has been or will be spent – the impact seen by the school on pupils’ participation and attainment in PE and sport – how this improvement will be sustained

The report must also contain details on the percentage of pupils in year 6 who have met the national curriculum requirement to: – swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres – use a range of strokes effectively – for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke – perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations

We have updated the guidance for the 2025 to 2026 academic year. Schools now get 50% of their funding allocation in the first payment and 50% in the second payment. We have also reformatted the page to make it easier to use, and clarified the duties on schools throughout the guidance.
