Faith, boarding and special provision: what schools must publish
Items for schools with a religious character, boarding, early years or wraparound care.
4 requirements
- Early years information for parentsMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement. If your school has nursery or early years classes, your website needs to explain how you deliver the EYFS, how parents can contact Ofsted and which staff hold paediatric first aid certificates.Keep it up to date
- Section 48 inspection reportExpected: Inspectors expect to see it, though it isn't a legal requirement. If your school is a faith school, this means a link on your website to your latest section 48 inspection report, such as SIAMS for Church of England schools.Keep it up to date
- Statement of boarding principlesShould: Recommended in official guidance, such as the DfE's. Not a legal requirement in itself. If your school takes boarders, this is your statement of boarding principles and practice, with your boarding policies and how boarders and parents can complain.Keep it up to date
- Wraparound care registrationMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement. If your school runs a breakfast or after-school club for children under 8 that needs Ofsted registration, your website needs to say it's registered.Keep it up to date
