- Charity status statementExpected: Inspectors expect to see it, though it isn't a legal requirement.If your school is an academy, this is a line on your trust's website saying the trust is an exempt charity, regulated by the DfE rather than the Charity Commission.Keep it up to date
- Freedom of information publication schemeMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement.Your website needs a freedom of information publication scheme that adopts the ICO's model scheme and lists what you publish and any charges.Keep it up to date
- Fundraising information for donorsMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement.If your school or PTA asks the public for donations, your website needs to say which charity benefits and how to complain about fundraising.Keep it up to date
- Marketing claims and reviewsMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement.If your school markets places or services, your website needs to make marketing clearly identifiable as marketing and show reviews without leaving out negative ones.Keep it up to date
- Modern slavery statementMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement.If your trust's turnover is £36 million or more, this yearly statement on slavery and human trafficking may apply, as it isn't settled whether it covers academy trusts.By 31 January each year
- Pre-contract and cancellation informationMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement.If your school sells goods, tickets or lettings online, your website needs total prices, cancellation rights and a cancellation form before anyone buys.Keep it up to date
- Service provider detailsMust: Required by law, statutory guidance or the academy's funding agreement.If your school or trust offers services online, such as a shop or lettings bookings, your website needs its legal name, legal status, address and email address.Keep it up to date
